My name is Francisca Vasconcelos and, although I was born in Boston, I have grown up in sunny San Diego, CA. I love to learn new things each and everyday, whether it be riding a skateboard or hacking. As for school, my favorite subjects have always been computer science, math, physics, and art. Even outside of school, I continue to explore these subjects by writing computer programs, building robots, programming drones, painting, sketching, and drawing. Part of this is done through school clubs (ie. FRC Robotics, a drone club started with friends, and National Art Honors Society), but also on my own. I am very involved on campus, participating in numerous clubs and volunteering in my freetime at the Math Tutoring Center. I have also played for my school soccer team since freshman year. However, my soccer career began much earlier, as I have been playing competitive soccer since I was 7 years old. While soccer is not the only sport I have ever played, it is my absolute favorite and has played a huge role in my life.
