I've been a Ph.D. student since 2009 in Statistical Visual Computing Lab, ECE department, UCSD. I received B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering (Communication) from Department of Electrical Engineering and also a B.S in Computer Science, from Department of Mathematical Science , Sharif University of Technology , Tehran, Iran in July, 2008. |

I am generally interested in doing research on challenging problems that lies on the intersection of mathematics and electrical & computer engineering. I have extensive experiences in different areas of signal processing and communication systems such as object detection, watermarking, inverse system design and construction of optical orthogonal codes. My current research is on real time object detection with applications to face, car and pedestrian detection. Recently we have developed a model for cascaded classifiers and proposed a new Boosting algorithm. The learning algorithm based on this method automatically designs a cascade of classifiers with optimal configuration and speed. A demo based on an early classifier trained by this method is available |
